Natural Born Rodent Killers (Pt. 1)

(Just a couple of best friends. Having night emotions.)

I have an admission to make: I recently googled myself.

And someone with an art blog called my work, "macabre."

So as one does, I grimaced and worked for a week on being as far from ghoulish as possible.

"Look!" I shouted. "They're adorable! They're in love! They live in Portland for f***s sake."

And then the title "Natural Born Rodent Killers" made me laugh this morning, and that blogger is right all over again.

These are a giclée print series now available through my lovely enablers at Society6. Shop for them right here.

Natural Born Rodent Killers (Pt. 2)

(NE 26th & Emerson. Checking out the blossom scene. Not trying to label anything.)

Natural Born Rodent Killers (Pt. 3)

(Precipitation intermission. Discussion mostly revolving around the correct pronunciation of 'Yamhill.')

Summer Of Chris: The Bundle

Take heart, Summer Of Chris© is upon us.

I'll be headed out for a few trips this month and in my vacation-induced mania, I've decided to throw a sale your way.

From now until July 4th, I'll be offering a t-shirt and poster bundle for $35 (plus shipping and any relevant sales tax). That's a savings of 27.083333%. That number is too precise, isn't it? I feel like that's not going to fit in a starburst. Whatever.

"Go Outside" (18" x 24"/3 Color Screen Print)

"Endangered Species" (3 Color Screen Print/White Fleck Triblend Shirts)

Also stickers.

And maybe a nice note. Full of flatteries.

"No Truffles Here, Mademoiselle."

The process of making short illustrated books for someone who has never done that is a constant stream of starting and scrapping. Personally, I've found the best part is the stumbling upon unexpected protagonists. In particular, I thought these two could be the basis for the weirdest food-related buddy comedy ever made.

For the time being, this unlikely pairing of truffle hunters have been made available in my Society6 shop as a giclée print.

Okay, I'm going to get back to the drafting table. If you have a pressing need for black truffle drawings, you know where to find me. There are a LOT over here.
