SLOW DANCE

SLOW DANCE // IN LIGHT

My favorite logo work is the type where I'm constantly asking myself, "would a cult put this over the door of their compound?"

New work for a couple of gentlemen who are doing party-rap right, Seattle's SLOW DANCE.

OSCAR

Oscar

Henceforth 2011 will be known as the "Year of Babies & Dinosaurs & More Babies".

Here's the poster for the Dino-nursery of the soon-to-arrive Oscar James Brennan.

I hope he doesn't grow up to ask what kind of Dinosaur that is. In my limited research, I haven't been able to find a Latin name for a sauropod with a camel's face.

Congratulations Tim & Hillary!

All made with love. And knives. But mostly made with knives.

I'm not sure what I'm doing with the originals right now. Here's a detail of them anyway:

It wasn't until I opened up an envelope of photos yesterday, that I had any awareness of being outside this summer.

There's more proof here.

BAST & BASTET

Bast & Bastet

I created this collage for Super8 Magazine shortly after my last visit home.

The kid on the right is my grandfather. A man with no particular feline qualities. And who was never much of a mask-wearer. A slightly misleading image, but one I'm very happy with.

Much thanks to Marco Nicotra & Giovanni Rizzo for letting me be a part of their project.

GOD BREATHED AND THEY WERE SCATTERED

Bolo Magazine
Look what just showed up in the mail.

Were you waiting for someone to finally create artwork that references early 1980s video games & late 1500s English military campaigns at the same time? Well then you have incredibly specific tastes AND you're welcome.

New work for BOLO Magazine. Big thanks to Marco Nicotra.

DINOSAURS AT WOODLAND PARK ZOO

Dinosaurs At The Zoo

I've seen my share of confounding briefs but found the headline, "DINOSAURS AT WOODLAND PARK ZOO", especially troubling.

It turns out the dinosaurs were animatronic and tour zoos nationally as a special exhibition to increase summer patronage. Here's all the stuff I did for it:
