ROAD TO BIGLOW

rtb_1.jpg rtb1 picture by ilikeyougraphik

In December of 2007, Portland General Electric opened its first company-owned and operated wind farm. Located in Sherman County, the Biglow Canyon Wind Farm is a three-phase project that will eventually power 100,000 Oregon homes with renewable energy.

RoadtoBiglow.com is a document of the first phase of Biglow Canyon's construction.

This was a giant project. As I'm posting this, I'm staring at the stack of nearly 50 pages of tiny drawings that built the framework for 3-D animators. Nando Costa and his team at Nervo do an amazing job with moving pictures. The interactive development (Justin Spohn), writing (Jim Carey), art direction (ahem!), and filming were done at NORTH and took roughly two months to complete.

Phew.

CAMP A LOW HUM 2008

Last year the I Like You Graphik received a poster commission from a polite-email-writing-man named Blink. He runs a record label that puts on an annual four day music festival in Wellington, New Zealand. While it took a few moments for our 3rd grade science education to kick in, we concluded that an outdoor festival in february was probably real. The results were great.

This is actually one in a series of posters commissioned for Camp A Low Hum 2008. Rad. And thanks again to Blink.

WELCOME

Here at the I Like You Graphik, we are committed to results. BUSINESS RESULTS. Though probably not your business' results. These are the kind of results that can only be achieved by drawing and coloring. Your needs aside, we're still a professional organization. If you were reading a bush league mission statement, why would we have a process... WITH STEPS?

Our successful-three-step-success-oriented-program-for-success:

1. Several lines are drawn.
2. The position and shape of those lines then go through a rigorous 5 to    10 minute approval process.
3. The area between those lines is colored in. GUARANTEED.
